Here are Evalee's crocs just sitting out in the middle of the yard, because summer is for barefooting it!
I was pretty impressed with his arm. This kid does everything from baseball to knitting. No kidding. He's a full function child.
Oh, and his dad, Rick. He's not cool but he thinks he is. He also thinks he's funny...nope not funny either. Drives past my house when I'm out and heckles me from his car.
Sweet little Evalee. Love this child. She has been spending hours and hours outside. Her hair can not get much blonder. They just remind me of how we would leave our house at 9am when I was little and not return home until the 6pm fire house siren rang...or chimed or...sirened. What do sirens do? Anyway, I loved being outside!
And of course the sweet little Mimi head. I know, I know...whatever. She's an amazing dog, what can I say?

Heather is looking great - slim and tan - I am so jealous! Matt I am so glad you are feeling better - you can tell in your writing!!!
What is your blog again Diane? Can't find it. I am feeling...better. Sleep has a been a problem, but I have a sleep aid (sledghammer) so I should be doing better with that. Last night, 2am - night before 5am! - night before that 2:30am. How are you supposed to rest when you can't sleep!!! And Benedryl gives me restless legs so I can't do the Advil PM, or Tylenol PM. I'm such a mess?
Hey there - there is nothing worse than no sleep - John's Grandma Jennie (God Bless her-she just passed 8 weeks ago) was a the most God fearing woman I have ever known and no acohol touched her lips, except her own "sick medicine" it made you feel better and sleep! Might be a good alternative to the sledge hammer My blog is http://sebastian3.blogspot.com/
I am not as good as you and Beth yet, and I have to get photoshop to even compete, but it's been fun so far.
Take care and get some sleep!!!
Let's see, when I could not sleep, getting pregnant helped me A LOT! You really should try that if you've tried everything else.
Ambien made me hallucinate-my celiling fan was this huge dragonfly and the Doozers from Fraggle Rock built little floating roads from the windows to my bed. I kept trying to pick one up, but everytime I thought I had one it disappeared from my hand.
Now, I am stuck where you are. If you do find something that works, let me know.
A pitcher of margarita works well every now and then, but you being a pastor and all... :-)
Yeah, I'm the last one to ask about sleep (you saw my post!!!)
Love all the summer pics - even when you don't feel well, summer makes it a little more bearable!
I love summer......your neighborhood looks like a FUN place to live.
I love the wagon thing.... your girls have always been so creative in their play!!!
As for the sleep good luck, with that medicine your on!!! You could try absolutely no naps until bedtime and NyQuil!
I love how much you love your family.
Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. I have enjoyed coming over to your wife's & your blog, and learning a bit more about your family. I hope you recover soon, and have plenty of summer left to enjoy to the fullest. God bless you and your family.
Maybe Heather should leave singing and come be a nurse with me. I think that is her new calling.
Heather looks as young as she did in college (from pictures I've seen anyway)...
What pretty eyes she has :)
Anyway-
Sleep has always eluded me too- especially since I was born a natural 3rd shifter w/ a 1st shift job.
I have been diagnosed as an insomniac. It sux.
I hate using pills- OTC or Rx. No matter what, I feel groggy the next day, no matter what time I take them, and groggy=NOT GOOD!
One thing I found that helped me was an herb called Valerian. (yes, found at your health food store). My mother used it for my brother's ADHD when he was a kid during the Ritalin craze (his SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS were telling my parents he needed it!!!) because Valerian is also good for anxiety as well as sleeplessness.
I know, I know- neighborhood, friendly witch-doctor giving advice, so don't take it from me, take it from a few doctors:
http://www.aafp.org/afp/20030415/1755.html and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valerian_(herb)
I buy Nature's Way brand and take one pill as I'm laying down. I can feel calming effects in as little as 30 minutes. The best thing- there are no creepy side effects. As always- talk to your Dr. first to make sure it will not badly react to anything else you're on. You can also go to:
http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/Interaction/ChooseDrugs/1,4109,,00.html
to check interactions as well.
ok... sorry this is forever long. You should tell Heather her eyes need to be a part of my collection that I will eventually get published as a coffee table years down the road... so yeah.
Get bester soon!!!
(yes, I added the s- you're better, but sounds like you're not yet 100%, so get "bester"!)
holy friggin cow, I'm SOOO sorry about the length of that!!!
